SCULPTORS
Thomas Ostenberg
After fifteen years of seeing great art on three continents, Thomas Ostenberg exchanged a successful financial career for art school. He earned a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and then took an MA from the Royal College of Art, aided by a grant from the Henry Moore Foundation.
Ostenberg's bronze sculptures explore the theme of motion and balance. They have been called magical and joyful and indeed inspire the viewer. What appear at first to be circus-like feats and balancing acts meant to entertain, really are ~ at a deeper level ~ a wonderous allegory full of hope, strength, stamina and determination.
Ostenberg now divides his time between London and Santa Fe and is represented by many galleries across the US and in the UK. His sculptures can be found in many distinguished public and private collections on both continents.
