Mark Stasz
With a BFA in sculpture from Alfred University in New York, Stasz went on to apprentice with several artists in Chicago . Enjoying the challenge of creating an illusion with steel, bronze, wood and stone, he often makes the viewer wonder how the piece can possibly balance. His massive works seem suspended in air - heavy, round rocks or smooth steel rings stand still, almost floating. His works can be found at the Boise Art Museum, the Los Angeles Airport and in many other public and private collections.
