Heather Wilcoxon received her M.F.A. in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in l988. She has won many awards, including the Djerrasi Resident Artist Program, a Purchase Award from the Triton Museum and a Fleishahhaker/Eureka Fellowship in painting. Her paintings are about experimentation, texture, discovery and the inward journey.

She has shown in very significant galleries on both coasts and her work can be found in many private and public collections, including the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, CA, the Fine Arts Museums, Auchenbach Foundation in San Francisco, CA and the di Rosa Art Preserve in Napa Valley, CA.
