Henriques' paintings are the visual interpetations of sound and rhythm. His subjects and palette hail from his Latin-Jewish roots, whose colorful past inspire a body of work that is truly a celebration of life..of travels through Italy, night clubs, music and Latin dancing. Educated at the San Francisco Art Institute, where he took both his BFA and his MFA, he has been the ricipient of many pretigious awards, including the Djerassi Foundation Resident Artist Program. His work appears in many public and private collections and he resides most of the year in Brazil.
